Matez Monir Garci
Born and raised in Botkyrka, Stockholm, with Tunisian roots, Matez Monir Garci brings a unique cultural perspective to his work. He made history as the first person of Arab descent to graduate from the prestigious Calle Flygare Theatre School.

He has a strong track record as an actor, best known for his roles as Gabriel in Heder (Seasons 2 & 3), Samir in Gåsmamman (Season 5), and Adam in the action thriller Hostage, now streaming on TV4 and Channel 4 UK.

In 2024, he made his film writing and directing debut with the award-winning drama Jag börjar bli delli (I Think I'm Going Mad), which premiered in the summer and received recognition across Europe.

With experience both in front of and behind the camera, Matez is known for his sharp eye, creative instincts, and positive energy on set. He holds a bachelor’s degree in film production from The Media Institution.

Passionate about storytelling, Matez aims to inspire the next generation—especially youth from Arab or underserved communities—to pursue their dreams and stay true to themselves.
